The Basics In this series we will explore electricity and its uses on the homestead. To put is simply, electricity is the movement electrons. As we come to understand this movement we can utilize it to do work for us. There are three basic units you must know to understand electricity. They are Voltage (E), Current (A), and Resistance (Ω). Electromotive force is the potential for electricity measured in voltage. Current is the amount of flow measured in amperes or amps.
